A Reflection

This morning as I was waking up, I was reflecting on Numbers 33, (which I have not read recently) and considering how God takes care to record every place where Israel had been. Does not the Psalmist say, "     Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, / Thou understandest my thought afar off." This can be said of you, or better yet of thee. Our God is personal. He knows each of us personally, He knows all that each of us has done, and he knows what each of us will do. He knows all that we have done right, (Remember Isaish has testified of each of us: "And all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags") and he knows all of our faults, that is our sins. So one may ask, How can God knowing all that I have done, everywhere I have been, be a comfort? Remember what God said of that wayward Nation of Israel when Balaam sought for Balek's sake to get God to curse Israel. "He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob,/ Neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: /The LORD his God is with him,/ And the shout of a king is among them." So is God knowing you a warning, or is it a blessing? The difference is found in Jesus Christ. When God sees thee, does he see thee, or does he see Jesus Christ? When the accuser comes to accuse thee, will Jesus say of thee, I died for that one, I know that one, What sins are you talking about? Amen.
