The Importance of the Doctrine of Creation

While Creation has repeatably been declared to be foundational to the gospel, I have yet to see anyone show from the Bible why it is important not to compromise with what “science” says is fact, that the world is billions of years old and all things are related by some distant one-celled ancestor.   As creationists, however, we proclaim that we must believe the Bible, and from it build our framework by which we understand the world around us. Therefore, we must ask, “Does the Bible say anything in regards to the importance of the doctrine of creation?”   I shall endeavor to show that it does, and how it relates to the gospel. Previous authors have gone to Acts to support the need to understand the creation vs. evolution debate. They have shown how Paul dealt with those who did not know the scriptures.   They have argued that Paul used the world (or science) about us to introduce God to those whom have not yet encountered Him though His Word. On th...

A Reflection

This morning as I was waking up, I was reflecting on Numbers 33, (which I have not read recently) and considering how God takes care to record every place where Israel had been. Does not the Psalmist say, "     Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, / Thou understandest my thought afar off." This can be said of you, or better yet of thee. Our God is personal. He knows each of us personally, He knows all that each of us has done, and he knows what each of us will do. He knows all that we have done right, (Remember Isaish has testified of each of us: "And all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags") and he knows all of our faults, that is our sins. So one may ask, How can God knowing all that I have done, everywhere I have been, be a comfort? Remember what God said of that wayward Nation of Israel when Balaam sought for Balek's sake to get God to curse Israel. "He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob,/ Neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: /The L...

The Solution To Climate Change!

REPENT!!!! What the bible has to say about climate change. Genesis 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. Rumored Calamities Because of Climate Change Worldwide flooding as in the Movie 2012 Genesis 9:11-17            And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.             And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:             I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.             And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be see...

Manifest and Romans 8:28

Last night, like many, I watched Manifest to see what it was, and as was intended, I noticed its theme taken from Romans 8:28 "All things work together for good."  Later it focused upon a section of that verse which I wondered if they would deal with. That section states: "To them which are the called according to his purpose."  Makayla, asked the priest, how do you know that you are called, and the priest, not really knowing the answer, gave an incomplete one, "You know it in your heart." Today, I would like to give the full answer. To start, let us first see the full context starting with verse 28 ending with verse 30:       And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.     For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.     Moreover whom he did predestinate...
